Take me down to the paradise city…
Originally released in 2008 and developed by Criterion Games, Burnout Paradise was a critically and commercially successful racing game which was acclaimed for bringing the racing genre to an open-world setting. Since then, however, Criterion has been making games in the Need for Speed franchise, with Burnout left on the back-burner.
Now, however, publisher EA has announced Burnout Paradise Remastered for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC to be released on March 16th (no word of a Nintendo Switch release, unfortunately).
Like the original release, it will support 8-player multiplayer, as well as including all of the previously-released DLC packs. The remasters will contain both 4K and 60fps gameplay support. It is being priced at $47.95 on PS4 and $49.95 on Xbox One.
