Co-op stealth game Hacktag sneakily releases

French development studio Piece of Cake Studios have announced that its award-winning co-op stealth game, Hacktag, has released today on Steam.

Hacktag features an isometric perspective and tasks players with infiltrating corporations and stealing data. Players can play solo or co-operate with another player, one as a physical Agent and the other as a virtual Hacker. The two must work together – with an element of competition – to complete espionage mission via solo play or online/local multiplayer.

Two-player co-op stealth action awaits in Hacktag

In gameplay, the Agent physically moves through corporate buildings whilst the Hacker transmits electronically through network nodes. The Agent must avoid physical guards (including adorable pandas) whilst the Hacker avoids anti-virus software. Some tasks can be accomplished by either player, but many will require cooperation between the player(s). Hacktag features three mission types, unlockable and upgradeable skills, as well as full character customisation.

Hacktag - two players, one goal, no holds barred

The game was initially released on Steam Early Access in June 2017, with the final release launched exclusively on Steam this week. For more on Hacktag, visit the official web page, check out the launch trailer below, and follow Checkpoint Gaming for more games news, reviews and features.
