A new update released for The Evil Within 2 allows players to play the entire game in a first-person view mode.
The update released today for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game. Bethesda has announced that after downloading the patch, players can switch between third- and first-person viewpoints by simply altering the game’s settings.
The Evil Within 2 is the sequel to Bethesda Entertainment’s critically-acclaimed psychological horror game The Evil Within. Players once again take on the role of Sebastian Castellanos as he re-enters the world created by the mind-bending and reality-warping STEM system, in order to search for his lost daughter. Players must use stealth, awareness and wits to traverse the town of Union, avoid enemies and survive in a twisted, impossible environment.
In our review, we said: “The Evil Within 2 left me exhausted by the time the credits rolled; like I’d survived an ordeal – and I have. Some of the narrative beats fall a little flat but the mind-bending style is mesmerizing and its open world sections with memorable short stories make it one of the more distinctive survival horror games you can get your hands on.”
The Evil Within 2 released in October 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. We can only imagine playing it in the first person would make the experience much more terrifying than it already is.
