Glory to Arstotzka. A short film based on the hugely successful indie game, Papers, Please, has been released freely to the world. First released in 2013, the “Dystopian Document Thriller” saw huge critical acclaim and praise when it released. The game painted a bleak picture of bureaucratic governments, warring nations, border security and tough moral dilemmas. If the game wasn’t depressing enough for you, then maybe the short film will do the trick.
First teased in 2017, the short film is now available on both Steam and YouTube and is an official adaptation of the game coming in at just over 10 minutes long. It’s a quick watch that comes with a big recommendation from me. You can watch the full film below.
