Puzzle-platformer Shift Quantum announced for 2018 release

Red Panda Interactive and Fishing Cactus have announced a new project, Shift Quantum, coming this year to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Shift Quantum is a cyber-noir action-puzzle platformer with a monochromatic aesthetic. The game features a unique gameplay mechanic called “Shifting”, solving puzzles and creating negative space by inverting the world and transforming the playing field so that barrier become escape routes.

Shift Quantum is set around the corporation of Axon Vertigo, the world’s leading authority in cerebral contentedness programming. People are connected to the titular program, which allows them to relax and enjoy their lives whilst the team at Axon Vertigo assesses their pattern recognition and creative thinking. It is within these cognitive tests that gameplay takes place.
