If you have ever wanted to live out the dream of partaking in a real-life game of Mario Kart (who hasn’t?) then it’s time to get excited. Mushroom Racing is bringing that dream alive at an undisclosed date within 2018 to both Melbourne and Sydney.
Whilst in Japan you can actually dress up in costume, jump in your go-kart and drive down the streets of Tokyo, the version of real-life Mario Kart heading to Australia is presumably a little bit more restrictive and more conscious of road safety. Nevertheless, fantasies are soon to be fulfilled and I know for a fact I intend to smuggle in banana peels if I ever get an opportunity to join in on the fun.

On the race day, you’ll be able to pick your favourite character, drive courses dressed as them, and have the opportunity to collect stars to win prizes.
