Real-life Mario Kart is coming to Sydney and Melbourne

If you have ever wanted to live out the dream of partaking in a real-life game of Mario Kart (who hasn’t?) then it’s time to get excited. Mushroom Racing is bringing that dream alive at an undisclosed date within 2018 to both Melbourne and Sydney.

Whilst in Japan you can actually dress up in costume, jump in your go-kart and drive down the streets of Tokyo, the version of real-life Mario Kart heading to Australia is presumably a little bit more restrictive and more conscious of road safety. Nevertheless, fantasies are soon to be fulfilled and I know for a fact I intend to smuggle in banana peels if I ever get an opportunity to join in on the fun.

“Have you ever wanted to race against Mario or Luigi while collecting stars to win amazing prizes? ‘Real Life Mario Karting’ – Go Karting with a Twist will be headed to Sydney and Melbourne soon!
A unique experience that combines your favourite characters, friends and new friends for a driving experience that will take you back in time.
On the race day,  you’ll be able to pick your favourite character, drive courses dressed as them, and have the opportunity to collect stars to win prizes.
Tickets for this event are extremely limited
