Red Dead Redemption 2 set for October

After a delay last year that saw the game fall into 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 has experienced hopefully its last delay with a new release date set of October 26th 2018.

Rockstar Games posted the following official statement on their blog earlier this morning:

“Dear All,

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

Luckily for them, the screenshots are pretty glorious, only building more hype for what is one of the most anticipated titles in recent memory.

Given the pedigree of the developer, we’re expecting this sequel to be of a very high quality indeed. Red Dead Redemption 2 is set for release on Xbox One and PS4 on October 26th. How excited are you?
