Are you scared? Well, you will be. Steam are offering you the perfect opportunity to scratch that survival horror itch with news that the Amnesia Collection is currently available for free. So hop on it and add two of the scariest games to your Steam library permanently.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent (2010) and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (2013) were created in a similar vein to early survival horror games such as Resident Evil. Frictional Games created a slightly different beast with Amnesia, though, by taking away weapons and leaving you with simply an oil lamp to light the horror-filled halls.
In between being chased through dimly-lit spaces by unspeakable horrors, you’ll have to solve complex puzzles to make your war forward. And although the two games differ slightly in their mechanics, both have been praised for their atmosphere, story and gameplay.
We’re not sure how long this deal will last so best get on it soon if you want to take advantage of it.
