Operation: Shamrock & Awe, Call of Duty: WWII’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed community event, kicked off today with a lot of Irish themed loot to grab. In addition to new gun skins in exciting colours, there’s also a new twist on popular maps.

In the Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit  you’ll have your standard Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed and Domination modes. But, there’s also a new enemy- a  zombie leprechaun hidden in each map.  If you kill the little zombie, all of your equipped Scorestreaks fill and become ready to deploy. It’ll also offer 2XP for the match itself.

This mode will be available for players as a Featured Public Match during the event, from now till March 19.

There’s also some cool new skins (shown above) new uniforms, and new helmets. There’s also two new guns- the M-38 Submachine Gun and the MG 81 Light Machine Gun- which will still be available after the event, just not with the event skins.

During these changes, they’ve also pushed out a number of changes in the base game with the addition  new item types including weapon charms and weapon reticles, as well as a major change to supply drops.

You can check out the rest of the major patch details on the official website.
