The recent remaster of the Crash Bandicoot games, the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, will be available on all the platforms from July 10.
First announced at the Nintendo Direct presentation as coming to the Nintendo Switch, it was shortly confirmed after on the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter feed that the highly successful trilogy will also be making its way to the Xbox One and Steam on the same date.
While Crash Bandicoot is considered one of PlayStation’s key mascots, this isn’t the first time the spinning marsupial has made an appearance on other systems. In fact, he’s basically been a free agent since Activision acquired the rights from Naughty Dog back in the early 2000’s. However, this is the first time that the original trilogy will be available to play on other platforms.
The news shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise – there were hints the trilogy wouldn’t be a PlayStation exclusive even before it managed some seriously impressive sales figures. It will be interesting to see if it can do just as well on the Switch, Xbox One and Steam when it launches on July 10.
