Dragon Bones DLC & Update 17 for Elder Scrolls Online now live

Posted on March 2, 2018

In the online world of Elder Scrolls the fun and excitement never ends and fans of the game have just had their first big news of the year with the release of the highly anticipated Dragon Bones DLC. This is the first major update for The Elder Scrolls Online for 2018 and contains the Dragon Bones DLC, a two-dungeon game pack (Scalecaller Peak and Fang Lair) and also Update 17. This update is a free addition for everyone which includes a slew of new features and upgrades, to both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

  • The Outfit System, allowing you to customise your look, regardless of your equipped gear
  • Two new Battlegrounds: Mor Khazgur and Deeping Drome (ESO: Morrowind required)
  • Home storage, giving you the opportunity to store items in your home
  • All-new Level Up system and Skills Advisor tool, helping you to advance your character with intuitive suggestions and tips, and helpful rewards
  • …and much more!

In Scalecaller Peak, ESO players will find the burial site of a long-dead Dragon Priest that is now overrun with diseased cultists harboring an evil agenda: to unleash the deadliest plague Tamriel has ever known. Battle your way through the cultists and their followers, and put an end to this threat.

Deep within the belly of Fang Lair, an ancient Dwarven ruin, a master of necromancy works a dark ritual in an effort to reanimate the bones of a once-living dragon. Enter the dungeon, face the necromancers, and stop the ritual before this undead monstrosity can be unleashed on Tamriel.

ZeniMax have said these new dungeons will pit you and your team against both new and returning enemies, including plague-ridden ogres, powerful sorcerers and their undead creations, and even the reanimated bones of an ancient dragon!

Both Scalecaller Peak and Fang Lair will be available in normal and veteran modes, and will include a veteran Hard Mode for the final boss. If you deem yourself brave enough to explore this new world of dragons then you’ll be rewarded with new items, collectibles, and achievements galore. And as an added bonus, for being super brave of course, the moment you set foot in either of these new dungeons you’ll receive the Renegade Dragon Priest Mask, completely free.

As Always The Dragon Bones DLC Game Pack is free for ESO Plus members, and is available for purchase from the Crown Store for non-members. For more information on the Dragon Bones DLC and Update 17 you can head on over to the Elder Scrolls Online website located here.
