Hello Games has announce that they will be bringing the open world of their constantly expanding space exploration sim No Man’s Sky to the gamers of Xbox One. Alongside this massive console leap will be another substantial update to the game entitled “Next”. Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, has stated that the reason behind this updates rather auspicious name is because “it’s an important next step on a longer journey for us and the community.” Murray continues to write “We’ve been working our socks off on this and it’s by far our biggest update so far. It will be free to existing players, and we’ll continue to support No Man’s Sky in this way for the foreseeable future.”
No Man’s Sky has been available on the PlayStation 4 console as an exclusive since its launch in August 2016 and Murray has said that No Man’s Sky will be enhanced for the Xbox One X with HDR and 4K support. Xbox players will also get the entire expansion set for No Man’s Sky which includes the Foundation, Pathfinder updates and the most recent Atlas Rises update.
No Man’s Sky for Xbox One and the No Man’s Sky Next update are both due out later this year and whilst there is little information currently past the announcement, we can expect to here more in the coming weeks.
