Shadow of the Tomb Raider is coming September 2018

This is not a drill, people! Square Enix has officially released the teaser trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This is the third entry into the second reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise, and the final chapter of the origin trilogy of Lara Croft. The announcement comes as the Tomb Raider movie releases in cinemas worldwide on March 15, 2018.

The trailer sees short flashes of Lara in a jungle environment, preparing to ambush a military soldier, and traversing a rock face before finishing with the gorgeous shot above. It appears as though this time, Lara is headed to the jungle as fans are already making theories about where the game will be set. The trailer ends with the announcement of the game’s release on September 14th, 2018 as well as further information to be shared on April 27th. Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 simultaneously and will be developed by Eidos Montreal (of Deus Ex fame).
