Hand of Fate 2, that action RPG dungeon crawling card/board game hybrid created by Brisbane-based Defiant Development, is adding a new Endless mode for its PC players.
According to Defiant, the (free!) new mode will offer players ‘a chance to battle for the top spot on the leaderboards via infinitely replayable quests that will get progressively more difficult with each new level. This means more difficult enemies will be shuffled into the snarky Dealer’s deck, and random pain and curse cards will be dealt to the player after finishing each stage. To ensure each dungeon run is unique in this new mode, Defiant has also added an abundance of new adventures, collectible token shards, enemies and narrative branches to the mix.
On top of this new mode, Defiant also indicated that there would be more upcoming DLC to support Hand of Fate 2, which has received heaps of praise (including from us) since its release for improving upon the original’s unique formula in almost every way. Details about the DLC are still vague, but we do know that it will add new companions, challenges and more to keep players entertained for the remainder of the year. Morgan Jaffit, director of Defiant Development stated that “today’s addition of endless mode provides even more content to our passionate community and we eagerly anticipate giving them even more in the coming months.”
Endless mode is available now for those who own the PC version of the game. PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait until next month before they can join in on the unending fun.
