Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level-5, has made an announcement in Famitsu magazine that Yo-Kai Watch 4 would be releasing on the Nintendo Switch later this year in Japan. It looks like Level-5 weren’t playing games (well actually I guess technically they were) when they said that the Nintendo Switch was to become the company’s primary platform. Akihiro commented that “its content is getting a super high-grade power up, including some things that will surprise everyone.”
This is exciting news for fans of the series and whilst there is currently very little information on the game itself, what we do know is that there are sadly no current Western release dates which is customary with Level-5. However, due to the popularity of these adorable little Yōkai, I doubt it will be long before we start hearing about game details, Western release dates, and more.
