Microsoft appears to be making an accessible Xbox controller

Leaks and reports have all been pointing towards a new Microsoft initiative to make an accessible Xbox controller. The controller will focus on catering to gamers with differing needs, ensuring that as many people as possible will be capable of using the device.

The device itself certainly looks different from Microsoft’s previous controller designs, with leaked images popping up around the internet. The image above comes courtesy of WalkingCat on Twitter.

We expect to hear a lot more about the new accessible controller as part of Microsoft’s E3 2018 presentation. For now the speculation is all revolving around a highly customisable controller that can be reprogrammed to suit the needs of different gamers with a string of inputs capable of being connected to other devices. This seems like a really great initiative from Microsoft and we are certainly excited to hear more about it in the near future.
