Are you a bit of a self confessed “tech head”? Do you always have to have the latest gadgets or the newest tech? Well PlayStation Australia might just have the coolest job going around in Australia for you right now! Become a tester for CyberLife Android.
The upcoming release of Detroit: Become Human is looming ever closer and its clear the PR train is most certainly in full swing. Now whilst I might not have to worry too much yet about Terminators and the 3 laws of robotics, Detroit is definitely reminding all of us that artificial intelligence is right on the cusp of science’s to do list. With that in mind this interesting job vacancy popped up on Airtasker and came with the following requirements…
“To be eligible, you must be an Australian resident with a valid ID, aged over 18, and willing to have your experiences shared on social media platforms. In your response, please also let us know if you have a dog available. You’ll also need to be available for a day in Sydney on Monday 21st May for the task.”
So what is this all about? Well, PlayStation Australia is on the hunt for an Aussie to be part of a social experiment involving a CyberLife Android. The task requests a lucky person to help ensure that CyberLife Android is ready for society – and vice versa! Created in connection with the launch of Detroit: Become Human, a neo noir thriller that follows the story of three CyberLife Androids that are designed to obey but start to feel emotions, releasing exclusively to PlayStation 4 on the 25th May, it’s an exciting opportunity for all gamers out there.
Responsibilities for the lucky person include:
- Teaching the CyberLife Android to perform basic tasks correctly
- Minding the CyberLife Android whilst they integrate with society
- Troubleshooting CyberLife Android responses to simple instructions
- Recording the reactions of members of the public on meeting our CyberLife Android
For those keen to apply for this unique experience you can do so by going to the Airtasker link here and signing both you and, if you want to bring them along, your doggo friend up, however Checkpoint would like to note that we except no responsibility for any robot dog uprisings that may occur!
