Earlier today, Walmart Canada posted a pretty large update to their website with a lot of unannounced video games available for pre-order, before the page was swiftly removed.
Shared by Wario64 on Twitter, the listing includes some big sequels including Gears of War 5, Borderlands 3, Splinter Cell, Rage 2, Just Cause 4, LEGO DC Villains and a new Assassin’s Creed title, starting speculation that these games will be announced as part of E3 2018.
E3 is just around the corner, and it’s not unheard of that retailers would be given a heads up about upcoming announcements so that they can be ready to post the information on their sites. Some of these games certainly make more sense than others, with listings for Splinter Cell having appeared before and a new Borderlands likely. There’s also some upcoming titles we know about mixed in, like The Division 2, The Last of Us 2 and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Bethesda in particular seem to be having a laugh with the leak regarding Rage 2. Whether or not this is them subtly building hype or just generally taking the piss is hard to say, but you never know.

Of course, this is all still just speculation at this point. Some of those titles could merely be guesses from Walmart Canada, trying to get ahead with some placeholder listings. There’s also some particularly strange ones, like “Forza Horion 5” (we haven’t had a Forza Horizon 4 yet) and “Dragon Quest 2” coming to PS4 and Xbox One (Dragon Quest XI launches in September, and the series has never graced Microsoft’s consoles).
Still, it’s fun to try and figure out which of these might be reality and which are just completely ridiculous. Gears of War 5 is one that I fully expect Xbox to announce to bolster their exclusive 2018 line-up, for example. What do you think about these “leaks”?
