Don’t drown! The Sinking City gets a release date and creepy new trailer.

If you’re a creature-feature kind of horror gamer, Frogwares’ The Sinking City  will have you shrieking in fear, as all those lovely Lovecraftian creatures attempt to hunt you down.  Not only has there been a new eerie trailer released but the game has been given a release date of March 21, 2019 and will be available across multiple platforms.

The trailer is rather creepy with no dialogue to speak of, only the sound of an old record playing and the pouring rain heard in the background, to set the mood. It shows a bloodied man sitting alone in a bar welcoming a newcomer to the establishment and seemingly manipulating the man’s body into the seat opposite him. To add to the bizarre atmosphere, the bloodied man picks up his drink, which appears to be sitting in a pool of blood, and swigs it in one before encouraging the newcomer to do the same. Suddenly the newcomer notices the barman and when he turns back, the bloodied man is nowhere to be seen.

The Sinking City

The Sinking City will take place in Oakmont, Massachusetts, which currently is experiencing an unnatural flooding of its locale. Players will take on the role of a private investigator, whose task it is to find out where the source of the flooding is coming from. However the P.I. soon discovers something much more sinister, with the townsfolk’s minds and bodies being controlled. This appears to affect even the private eye, as seen in the trailer when he lifted inches off the floor by the bloodied cultist.

The Sinking City

With The Sinking City coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 21, 2019, it looks as though every horror fan will be able to get their fix of Lovecraft frights and freakouts.
