Explore a barren and mysterious desert wasteland in the upcomming PC game Sable. Created by an independent game developer group known as Shedworks, this visually stunning new IP looks similar to that of Journey in its feel and depiction.
After being featured in ID@Xbox indie montage we now have a debut trailer features several different open world locales, all with sweeping views and vivid color pallets and appears to be a mix of dungeon and platform explorer. As for the story, it has been described by it’s developers as a coming-of-age tale.
According to the Shedworks website the game “Is a coming-of-age tale of discovery through exploration across a strikingly rendered open world desert. Go on a deeply personal journey across an alien planet as the young Sable, exploring ancient monuments, ruined architecture, and ships fallen from the cosmos, all while learning the history of its inhabitants and discovering her place in the world.” What really excites me is that we appear to be getting another game that feature a female protagonist, which is always good for representation in the gaming world
While little more is known about Sable presently, you can be rest assured we’ll keep you up to date with the progression and release of this game, as it’s certainly one to keep an eye on. Sable release date is unknown but is set to be currently released onto PC.
