Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition coming in 2018

Posted on June 11, 2018

Announced during Microsoft’s E3 conference, Bandai Namco is bringing the classic Tales entry with the Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. Previously only available on Xbox 360 in the west, the definitive edition will bring the game to Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below!

As evident in the trailer, Tales of Vesperia looks beautiful as ever. The anime art style is still gorgeous over a decade later, and everything looks to be running at a slick 60fps. The new edition is said to feature new characters and additional content. This marks the first Tales game to come to Xbox One, with the previously released Zestiria and Berseria being exclusive to PS4 and PC.

Bandai Namco have detailed what’s new in the remastered version:

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition features two new fully playable party members for North America; Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories, as well as Yuri’s rival and best friend, Flynn Scifo. Along with these two new playable characters,Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will include additional scenarios, locations, and costumes that will be all-new for Western players.
