Two teams from Australia/New Zealand have made it into the finals of the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon Invitational. The two teams, Free Marsy & Gulch Trotters, will be proudly representing us as they head to Columbus, Ohio to earn their share of $100,000 USD. Go you good things!
“What began as 32 teams going head-to-head over a series of four weekends has come down to this – the top two teams from the Americas, Europe, China, and Asia-Pacific have earned a spot in the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon Invitational Global Finals, and a chance at earning their share of the $100,000 USD prize pool,” says Blizzard’s Australian PR reps. “All eight teams will be traveling to the MLG Arena in Columbus, Ohio to go head-to-head 23-25 June AEST/NZST in a race to the finish until just one team is left: The Mythic Dungeon Invitational Champions!”
Also announced is the Mythic Dungeon Invitational All-Stars, which is a special exhibition that will bring some of the best dungeon-running teams from around the globe to BlizzCon 2018. The event will combine the Mythic Dungeon Invitational and the WoW Arena World Championship together for the first time, providing a rare treat for World of Warcraft eSport fans!
The four top teams from the Mythic Dungeon Invitational finals will be invited to partake in the All-Stars event at BlizzCon, where they’ll tackle the newest Battle for Azeroth dungeons live on stage for the first time, which means new dungeons, bosses, and cunning strategies. As a lapsed World of Warcraft fan, I have to say I am excited to see what new content they’re rolling out; they might even suck me back in!
The event takes place from the 23rd – 25th of June. For all the information about the Mythic Dungeon Invitational Global Finals and Invitational All-Star event, check out all the details HERE.
