The studio behind Dragon Ball FighterZ, Arc System Works, is taking on the immensely popular anime Kill La Kill to publish Kill La Kill the Game: IF. An arena style fighting game, Kill La Kill the Game: IF looks just about as anime as you could possibly get. The debut trailer, revealed at Anime Expo 2018, introduces the characters, visual flair, and combat style that will be in the game. Check it out!
In this trailer we see series protagonist Ryuko Matoi duking it out against antagonist Satsuki Kiryuuin, the cold student council president of Honnouji Academy. The arenas looks spacious, if a little bland, and will provide the canvas on which players will execute insane anime-style combos against their opponents. Kill La Kill the Game: IF is being developed by APLUS, with Trigger (the creators of the original anime) supervising and Arc System Works publishing. The cel-shaded graphics evoke the feeling of directly controlling an anime, and with the fanfare Dragon Ball FighterZ got for employing the same style, I’m sure fans can’t wait to get their hands on this.
Kill la Kill the Game: IF will be playable for the first time at Evo 2018, and the game is set for release on PS4 and PC in 2019.
