Change your past choices in the Walking Dead before The Final Season drops

With The Walking Dead’s final season approaching quickly, Telltale Games is going all out to make sure that everyone – new players, as well as loyal fans who have been with the series since its inception six years ago – can get in on the action.

First, there was the announcement that any PlayStation or Xbox players who pre-order The Walking Dead: The Final Season will get free access to The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection,which provides all 19 previously released The Walking Dead episodes.

Next, the 15 minute demo for The Final Season was recently released on both the PlayStation and Microsoft stores.

Now, with their interactive Story Builder tool, Telltale Games are providing players with the opportunity to relive, and reshape, Clementine’s story from the very beginning.  Made some regrettable decisions in past episodes? Of course you did, because honestly, how could you have not?! Well then the tool may be of interest, as it gives players the chance to remake some of the most crucial and difficult choices of the series. It also allows players new to the series to have a say in how ‘their’ Clem will start the final episodes. After making your choices, you can create or sign in to your existing Telltale account to import your new decisions before starting The Final Season.

Of course, returning players can also stick with their decisions that they’ve made in previous episodes. Regardless, fans will definitely still want to check out the Story Builder tool just for fun – it provides different assessments (and nifty looking posters) of Clementine’s character based on the choices you make within it. Having gone through it twice myself, I got both a BRUTAL Clem and a LOYAL one.

The first episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from 14 August, with the Switch port arriving later this year.
