The Gamescon news just keeps coming and Capcom dropped their own big bombshell with the release of the new Devil May Cry 5 gameplay trailer. Fans of the long running franchise had been hoping to see something new on the title and Capcom delivered with a confirmed a release date of March 8th, 2019.

Devil May Cry 5 went from heavily rumoured expectation to reality earlier this year at E3 and the hype train has been full steam ahead ever since. This new trailer much like the original dropped at E3 shows Nero fighting demons and various other hell spawn with his sword Red Queen and revolver Blue Rose. Also at his arsenal is his Devil Breaker which is a cybernetic replacement to his lost Devil Bringer.

But whilst I could go on about one of my all time favourite bad boys with a heart, Nero, forever it was his ultimate bad boy uncle, Dante, who truly stole the show this time around. Making a brief appearance at the end of the trailer Dante came charging in with a few new toys to play with. His motorcycle, much like a transformer, is more than meets the eye. Able to be split in twain and used like a pair of duel wielded chainsaw swords, Dante certainly let his presence be known. Check it out for yourself in the trailer below from Gamescon 2018.

Devil May Cry 5 is set to release for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One and is likely to be the biggest Devil May Cry in the franchise yet. Are you as excited as we are for a new DMC? Be sure to keep up to date on the official website.
