What games can you pick up with PlayStation Plus in August?

August’s Playstation Plus freebies are spearheaded by two games that involve a lot of killing.

The star for the month is violent open world mob shooter Mafia 3.  Play as former Vietnam War soldier Lincoln Clay as he rampages through the fictional city of New Bordeaux in his quest for revenge. “A slick open-world action adventure that combines driving, shoot-outs and exploration, Mafia III’s refreshingly different setting and tight scripting make for a tense immersive experience.”

The next freebie is multiplayer game Dead by Daylight. In this one,  four players are dropped into an arena and must work together to not be violently murdered by a fifth player, whose purpose is to find and kill them all before they can escape. Players can kill, or be killed by, the likes of iconic horror characters such as Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Leatherface. Sounds both fun and terrifying!

As part of Playstation’s “Summer of Plus”, they are also offering two additional games for PS Plus members this month –  Playlink title Knowledge is Power, and VR title Here They Lie.
