Space Channel 5 VR Kinda Funky News Flash is PSVR confirmed

Ooooh la la, Space Channel 5 VR Kinda Funky News Flash is finally heading to Playstation VR! There is no release date as of yet other than the standard ‘coming soon’ but given the game has been in Japanese arcades for a while now, I can’t imagine it would be long.

Space Channel 5 is the latest in a crazy amount of retro Sega franchises to be re-appearing as of late. When we first reported on a home version of Space Channel 5 VR: Arakata Dancing Show back in Feb, it was heading toward a Vive release with no mention of a PSVR showing. How quickly things change mere months later.

For the uninitiated, Space Channel 5 is a rhythm game from the Dreamcast era and there were two original games. Featuring news hosts, Ulala dance battling aliens, that have taken over a spaceship. The sequel notably featured none other than the King of Pop Michael Jackson himself in a cameo. I would imagine that for obvious reasons, MJ may not be featuring in this one. From the trailer, Space Channel 5 VR appears to be more of the same, which is more than fine. Hey Hey Chu Chu indeed.

I know I’m ready for some more Space Channel 5 dancing action greatness.
