Just Cause 4 is due out later this year and to whet gamer’s appetites Square Enix have released a new story trailer and further information about the narrative featuring in the upcoming action title.
Rico, now a rogue agent, travels to the fictional island of Solis to uncover the truth behind the death of his father. Ravaged by storms and tornadoes, Solis is a place on the brink of war with the ruthless Black Hand Militia trying to keep the situation under control.
As per previous games in the series, we can expect a large extremely gorgeous open world to explore featuring epic set pieces and epic destruction. All of the games in the series have delivered in that respect and if the new trailer is an indication of things to come, Just Cause 4 is about to turn things up to 11.
Check out those gorgeous graphics, lush landscape, explosions and chaos. On face value, it would appear gamers are in for a treat. That said though, having played the previous games obviously the worlds were always looking great and the action was on point.
However for me personally the open worlds had a somewhat empty feeling with a lack of distractions that did not feature explosions, making long trips by car feel like a bit of a drag. All this amazing scenery but not much to do other than the story and associated missions and sub missions.
Given this is highly likely the last game in the series on current gen consoles, hopefully this time they manage to give the world a more living feel so the game can reach its full potential.
Just Cause 4 is due for release December 4th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
