Dead or Alive 6 was intended to be released just next month on 15th of Febuary, but now it looks like we won’t see it until early March.
According to producer Yohei Shimbori, the delay is so the team can polish up the gameplay, balance, and presentation of the game. The new date is two weeks later, on the 1st of March. Fan response has been largely supportive, with players encouraging the development team to take any extra time to make the game the best they can.
This might actually be good news for Dead or Alive 6. Its original release date of Feb 15 is already backed up with not three but four other games: Xbox first party title and Terry Crews backed Crackdown 3, open world post-apocalyptic sequel Far Cry: New Dawn, the mega cross-over anime fighter Jump Force, and the very polished looking dark shooter Metro Exodus.
Being pushed back a few weeks means that it will no longer have to compete for attention, and already many Dead or Alive fans are thanking the developers for lightening the pressure on their wallets. In the end, it could mean more sales for Dead or Alive 6, which could prove even more important with Mortal Kombat 11 right around the corner.
Dead or Alive 6 will launch on March 1st for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
