Raf Grassetti is a monumentally talented human being. He’s the Art Director over at Sony Santa Monica and worked as Art Director for last year’s gorgeous looking God of War. Those unfamiliar with the man’s work should head on over to his personal website to bask in the beauty of his art.
Whilst Grassetti would typically be the recipient of fan art, he also enjoys doing fan art of his own. His most recent creations come from a series of images called “Smash Bros Remastered” and they truly are a sight to behold.

Whilst I do love Nintendo’s original vision for these Smash Bros characters, there’s certainly something awe-inspiring and horrific about Grassetti’s reimaginings. Only 5 images exist within the gallery, although I have high hopes for more depictions arriving in the near future. Something about a photo realistic interpretation of King Dedede would be particularly charming.
