PlayStation Store is having a massive January sale

Posted on January 7, 2019

Sony is celebrating the new year by offering gamers some fantastic deals on their online PlayStation Store. I have collated a few my personal picks of the best deals below for your consideration, but there’s plenty of good stuff worth checking out.

Limbo – $4.95

Playstation store Limbo
A truly atmospheric indie title from 2010 that will creep you out and keep you guessing, if you missed out on this one then make sure to give it a shot.

Journey – $7.55

Playstation store Journey
One of the quintessential indie games of this generation. The pure joy and relaxation of playing through this game is something for everyone to experience.

Dark Souls II – $13.05

Dark souls 2 Playstation store
If you are a fan of the Dark Souls series, then this instalment is not one to miss. A great price for one of the most challenging, and infuriating games to test your skills. Dark Souls III is also on sale for only $15.95

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition – $24.95

Witcher 3 Playstation store
One of the best Western RPG’s to ever be made, and a game that is constantly at the very top of many top 10 games lists. If you have not played this game, then you have no excuse now. The GOTY edition also includes all subsequent DLC.

Horizon Zero Dawn – $24.95

HZD on Playstation store
This game kicked off Sony’s consistent winning streak of highly rated exclusive titles to their PS4 system. The graphics of this game are nothing short of stunning, and I constantly found myself stopping whilst playing to take in the intricately detailed world. The heroine of this game, Aloy, is a strong and tenacious woman who is easily able to fend for herself and a true icon for many female gamers. There’s many reasons why it topped our 2017 Game of the Year list.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – $47.95

ACO on Playstation store
The latest entry into the long-running Assassin’s Creed franchise from Ubisoft. Although this game has heavily departed from the mechanics that made the original so popular, there is still a lot to enjoy with this instalment. The RPG mechanics introduced in 2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins are further expanded upon here, and allow for a high degree of customisation to suit.

*Please note all of the above prices are in AUD.

The PlayStation Store January sale ends on the 19th of January 2019, so be sure to grab these deals while they last.
