Surprise! January is over already. Avoid thinking about it with these free games for PS Plus, Xbox Gold, Humble Monthly and Epic Games Store subscribers. Because who doesn’t like free games?

On a somewhat sad note, February will be the final month to offer PS Plus Games for both PS3 and PS Vita, after the service launched all the way back in 2010. However, all previously claimed games will remain in players’ libraries.

The oft-forgotten sequel to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag features the same naval gameplay from its predecessor, with a darker story in which you play a Templar hunting down pesky Assassins. - Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (February 16 – 28)
This original Xbox game first came out in 2003, and is probably non-canon by now. But you get to create your own character going to Jedi school!

A prequel to the action-RPG underworld soap opera franchise. If you want to dip your toe into the Yakuza games, 0 is a great place to start. - Tom Clancy’s The Division + Survival Expansion
Play around in multiplayer open world New York until The Division 2 launches in March this year. - Rapture Rejects
The folks who brought you the Cyanide & Happiness comics brings this battle royale, which seems to be as politically correct as you’d expect. - More games to be revealed soon

The first installment of the annual party game series. Highlights include popular games Fibbage XL and Drawful, as well as Lie Swatter, which can be played by up to 100 people at once. - Axiom Verge (available February 7 – 21)
A pixel-art metroidvania which got great reviews when it came out in 2015 – and was developed and composed entirely by one man.
