Latest Mortal Kombat 11 news : Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung are joining the roster

Posted on March 25, 2019

As if Mortal Kombat 11 wasn’t already tasty enough, developers NetherRealm have announced that Noob Saibot will return as playable character. Not only that but the first downloadable DLC character will be none other than Shang Tsung. Toastie indeed. Shang Tsung will be part of the Kombat Pack add on along with 5 other fighters.

We are mere weeks from MK 11’s April 23 launch date, the steady stream of character videos (demonstrating the sheer violence of the game..) and announcements are certain to have raised the pulses of even the most casual fighting fan. The game looks great already and the trailer for Noob Saibot is no exception.

The latest addition to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster made his debut in MK II as an unplayable secret character. Of course named after the series creators Ed Boon and John Tobias (spelt backward) his fatality is something else.

Shang Tsung on the other hand looks very 1992 with the return of grey hair and a fabulous beard. Not only that though, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa who played Shang in the brilliant 1995 Mortal Kombat movie is reprising his role, lending his likeness and voice to the character. (Ed: Probably going to be a lot better than Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade, let’s be honest).

Shang Tsung joins Mortal Kombat 11

Yes, Mortal Kombat the meaner nastier granddaddy of the beat-’em-up genre is back for another round on April 23 and I cant wait.
