Is this a late April Fool’s joke? Just days after IGN pranked us all with a fake Nintendo Direct claiming that “Everything is coming to Switch”, it appears as if the joke may have had more truth to it than they thought!
The joke video teased teased us with titles like the Metroid Prime Trilogy and the entire Zelda library. Now thanks to some cyber sleuthing by twitter users, it’s been uncovered that retailer Best Buy’s internal listings include a few of the games IGN joked about. The listings mentioned the Metroid Prime Trilogy, A Link to the Past, and Persona 5 for the Switch.

One of the Twitter users is Wario64, who is known as a good source for news on gaming retailers and special deals. They’re a trusted source to their followers, but whether or not the information is really a leak or a mistake of some kind remains to be seen.
A page on Japan’s ATLUS website teases some upcoming news on Persona 5, so perhaps they’ll officially announce it soon?
With all leaks, this should be taken with a grain of salt. With only a few screencaps to go off, anything could be possible. The Persona 5 news could easily be related to the upcoming Joker DLC for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, rather than any Switch port. A Link to the Past is another curious listing, because if it were to appear on the Switch at all it would have to be a Virtual Console title rather than a retail release. Only time will tell!
