In a surprise that no one expected, or really asked for, we got a trailer for a game set within the Blair Witch universe.
The title sees your grizzled detective protagonist, Ellis joined by his faithful K9 companion in search of a missing boy. In the short teaser that we got, which you can watch below, the game seems to be the love child of Silent Hill and Outlast
The trailer showed the use of a video camera combined with a flashlight, so it seems to be going down the Outlast style of gameplay, but we will need to wait to see more.
The description states that “A young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, you join the search. What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods…”
We don’t have long to wait now to get spooked, as the game is set to launch on August 30th 2019.
