Link’s Awakening is almost here! It seems like only yesterday that we learned that the 25-year old GameBoy classic was making a comeback on Switch – has it really been 6 months? As a last-minute tease, Nintendo UK has uploaded one last trailer containing just some of the characters and environments we can expect to see during our remastered journey:
This 30 second teaser is set to a touching rendition of the game’s classic song Ballad of the Wind Fish, which sounds amazing sung with all-new English lyrics. Carried along with the song are flashes of Koholint Island’s updated environments, which looks fantastic in this fresh new style. We can also see some of the kooky characters that populate the island, and even some enemies and bosses.
Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch releases in just one day on September 20th for us Aussies. Keep your eyes peeled for Checkpoint’s review of the game, which will be available to check out very shortly!
