The always lovable and charming Reggie Fils-Aimé has recently been inducted into the International Video Game Hall of Fame. The former President and COO of Nintendo of America received the Walter Day Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in leading Nintendo of America.
For those unfamiliar, the International Video Game Hall of Fame (IVGHOF) not only honours excellence in gaming but they also strive to preserve gaming relics through their museum in Iowa. Reggie is the latest of many inductees into the Hall of Fame, with games like Super Mario 64, Fortnite, and Super Smash Bros. Melee being inducted earlier this year.
Acceptance video from the @ivghof event. Thank you @EMP_TriForce_GM for the introductory comments. I haven’t seen them, but I hear they were very touching. This recognition would not have happened without love from all the players and fans. https://t.co/fXzZePkEBD

Reggie Fils-Aimé was apart of Nintendo for a notable 15 years, spending 13 years as the President and COO. Reggie retired from his position earlier this year, but not before becoming a well-respected and loved icon of the industry. His induction into the Hall of Fame just feels right.
Unfortunately Reggie wasn’t able to be at the awards event in person, but he uploaded a video to thank those who recognised and awarded him. You can check out the video below.
Congratulations Reggie, you deserve all of the love and recognition coming your way!
