The oh-so-charming adventure game, Spirit of the North, first made its debut onto PlayStation 4 in November of last year. Now the team at Infuse Studios, the creators behind Spirit of the North, have partnered up with publisher Merge Games. Together they are working to bring this Nordic inspired game into the hands of PC and Nintendo Switch users this Autumn! (That’s Spring time for our Northern Hemisphere gamers.)
With beautiful landscapes to explore in 3rd person, puzzles to solve, atmospheric music and stories to uncover, it’s an absolute joy to see Spirit of the North make it’s way onto other platforms for others to immerse themselves into.
If you have yet to hear about the game, Spirit of the North has you playing as a totally ordinary red Fox who is entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a Fox spirit. The game centers around a story comprised of pieces of Nordic folklore, and imagery inspired by the breathtaking visages of Iceland. It is a must for those adventurers of heart and lovers of emotional journeys. Or just those with a simple love for cute foxes!
The game is already out for those PlayStation 4 users out there. With the Nintendo Switch and PC releases coming out this Autumn, Xbox One users need not fret at being left out. Spirit of the North still intends to release on Xbox One as well, but as of yet there has been no announcement for that time frame.
