Noita and its beautiful animated pixels releases next month

Posted on September 23, 2020

Noita is a pixel-art fusion of sand falling game and roguelite, featuring destructible environments that can crumble to dust as you battle your way through them. The game has been available in Steam Early Access since September 2019, earning overwhelmingly positive user reviews. Developer Nolla Games explained in their summary on the Noita Steam page that Early Access provided a way for them to get important feedback that will help them improve the game while also testing the “highly emergent” environments built in the studio’s own custom-built Falling Everything Engine.

Now, almost exactly one year later, Nolla Games have announced that the game will be receiving its largest update yet in the form of a 1.0 release of Noita on October 15, 2020. This will also mark the game’s official exit from Steam Early Access to become a fully released title. According to Nolla Games’ statement on Steam, the full release of Noita will be a refined version of the game featuring more polish and content. The announcement for Noita 1.0 boasts “new enemies, perks, music, and over 20 spells, as well as a wide range of general game improvements and bug fixes, along with other surprises”.

If Noita has caught your interest, now may be the perfect time to check it out. In celebration of announcing their exit from Early Access, Nolla Games are currently offering Noita on sale for 20% off on Steam as well as 60% off a bundle of Nolla-affiliated games including Noita, The Swapper and Baba Is You.
