Sucker Punch, the developers of this year’s samurai epic Ghost of Tsushima, have posted a job listing that may indicate a sequel or new title within the world of the critically acclaimed adventure.
The listing calls for a narrative writer to “help create engaging narrative content” for new projects, including writing dialogue and stories. A notable requirement for aspiring writers is the “desire to write stories set in feudal Japan” and also “knowledge of feudal Japanese history” – likely hinting that the successful applicant will be put to work developing more content in the Ghost of Tsushima universe. This is in line with similar listings for artists, which also preference applicants with an interest or familiarity with Japanese culture.
Whether this could mean a sequel, DLC for the Playstation exclusive title, or new content for its co-op offering Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, remains to be seen. With the original title hotly contesting this year’s GOTY status for many gamers, more content in this sword-swinging universe would be very welcome.
