Two years after Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft is making her return. This time, she’ll be seen in mobile gaming form in the newly announced Tomb Raider Reloaded. As the announcement trailer from Square Enix suggests, the game looks to take a more cutesy approach. Dinosaurs, golems and large spiders look to be some of the foes set to face Lara.
Reloaded is being developed by two teams, Emerald City Games and Square Enix’s London mobile team. It’s labelled as a “free to play action arcade game,” and will hopefully see some love when it lands on mobile devices. Details are admittedly light on the game, but hey, Lara will once more be sporting her iconic shorts and tank top getup.
Lara Croft has also previously been on mobile platforms through Lara Croft Go and Tomb Raider: Relic Run. Sure, this isn’t the next grand entry in the franchise but at least it’s a fun re-visitation. Tomb Raider Reloaded arrives sometime in 2021 to mobile devices. We’ll be sure to let you know the specific date as soon as we have more info.
