PAX Aus is back this year with dates just announced

Posted on March 10, 2021

With PAX Australia being cancelled last year due to COVID-19 and an online event replacing it, there were questions surrounding whether or not the huge gaming event would return in physical form this year. Well it looks like it will, with the dates of the event being announced. Of course everything is tentative and subject to change depending on the continual development of the global pandemic, although for now the event plans to move forward.

PAX Australia 2021 will run from October 8 to October 10 in the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. You can see the full announcement below.

Within their announcement, PAX Aus say that:

“Over the past 12 months we’ve all been challenged from very direction. At PAX Aus HQ we tasked ourselves to think differently about how to best connect this amazing community of gaming fans. We’ve focused on delivering meaningful virtual content such as PAX Online and PAX Presents and our brand new PAX Australia Discord channel.”

“Now, we are very excited to announce that Pax Australia will be back in 2021 as a live event, just as you remember it.”

The announcement also outlines how the event will run as COVD safely as possible, with all proceedings following the national and local health guidelines. They also note that tickets will be sold in limited quantities to reflect the current capacity restrictions in Melbourne, although those may become more lenient by the time we reach October. They’ve also let interstate travellers know that ticket refunds will be issued to anybody unable to make it to the event due to any unforeseen border closures or travel / quarantine restrictions.

As a huge PAX Aus lover, it’s awesome to see the event return in full form. Hopefully the world is in a healthier state when October rolls around. You can read more on the PAX Aus website.
