To The Rescue is a dog shelter simulation supporting real pet shelters

Posted on March 10, 2021

To The Rescue is a dog shelter management simulation allowing players to run their own shelter, care for the doggy inhabitants, and find forever homes for the adorable and deserving canines.

The game is currently in development from Little Rock Games, a studio whose mission is to create ethical and impactful games whilst collaborating with local communities. To The Rescue follows firmly in that mission, with 20% of profits of the game going to pet shelters.

The game itself looks absolutely adorable. It’ll play like a traditional management simulation with expansion, funding, and day to day operations all being of high priority. Of course, looking after the dogs, learning their behavioural traits, giving them a scratch behind the ear and cleaning up their loving deposits will also be a core aspect of gameplay.

Olivia Dunlap, co-founder of Little Rock Games shared in a press release why the studio was inspired to make this game:

“The challenges dog shelters and their volunteers face every day truly inspire us. It’s a setting we felt was ripe for exploration in games.”

To The Rescue is scheduled to release later this year for Nintendo Switch and PC/Mac via Steam. You can find out more about the game from its website. We’ll certainly be keeping a keen eye on this release!
