Bird skateboarding simulator Skatebird has a release date. The IGN Expo 2021 livestream confirmed that the game will be released on the 12th of August 2021.
The game didn’t provide many other details during the stream, but we got to see a whole ton of birds riding around real-world office environments, implying there will be quite a bit of character customisation. With one bird character named Sam King wearing night-vision goggles, this game seems to be full of fun.
Based on what we’ve seen, Skatebird looks to be a charming romp. Time will tell if it’s good enough to sit next to the Tony Hawk games – and I will kick myself if there’s not a hawk named Tony in it.
