Kosch Media has announced a new dark sci-fi adventure, Scars Above. Scientist and astronaut Kate Ward is stranded alone on a hostile alien planet and must survive using only her own skills. In the trailer we were shown, Kate is seen battling against many dangerous aliens with different weapons. It gives us Returnal crossed with Tomb Raider vibes, and it looks really cool. No separate trailer for the game has been released yet.
Gamers got their first look at the game during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, which began last night and is continuing through E3 week. A special streaming event today will show off more about the gameplay, which looks to be a mix of exploration, survival, and combat.
Scars Above is one of the few key reveals for Koch Media’s brand new premium gaming labels, Prime Matter. It’s being made in partnership with Mad Head games. Mad Head Games director Ivan Zorkić said, “Our partnership will help bring Scars Above to a truly global level through Koch Media’s teams across every continent and major territory.” and added, “We’re really excited for the future and we can’t wait for players to experience Scars Above for themselves.”
