Stray comes home with new walkthrough gameplay trailer

Posted on July 30, 2021

Well, would you look what the Annapurna Interactive Showcase dragged in! A new gameplay walkthrough trailer for the eagerly anticipated and rather elusive cat simulator game Stray. The new trailer highlights how the cat navigates the city of robots and in case you were wondering – yes, you can knock stuff over. Sink your claws into this new trailer below!

We’ll be seeing Stray release in early 2022 on the PlayStation 4, 5 and Steam which is a change in tone from the previously communicated PS5 only release. This is happy news as I still haven’t made the jump to next-gen due to the stock shortages of the consoles.

It seems this cat is searching for a way back to his family after falling and injuring himself. In order to make it home, he’ll have to explore the city and uncover its many secrets but luckily he’ll have many friends to help him along the way. Once again, the environments the cat explores look incredible and feel exceedingly detailed in its blend of neon and darkness. The cat is also looking as cute as ever as he solves puzzles, avoids enemies, and scratches the furniture in the game. Honestly, he reminds me so much of Jonesy the ginger cat from the Alien movies which is a wonderful coincidence.

Catch this Stray cat climbing onto Steam, PS4 and PS5 in early 2022. No dogs allowed.
