Resident Evil fans have already been quite spoilt with content this year. Between Resident Evil Village back in May and the live-action movie due in November, there’s plenty to be excited for. Sandwiched between all that will be something fans of the mainline series’ fourth entry could very well be chomping at the bits for. Yes, Resident Evil 4 VR will be launching next month.
In the trailer provided above, thrilling glimpses of some of the familiar Resident Evil 4 setpieces are now showcased, entirely in VR. Escorting the President’s daughter Ashley, taking on the dastardly villagers and solving puzzles in an FPS perspective are all on offer in their familiar glory.
Aside from the change of point of view, new additions include the fact Leon can dual-wield weapons. Meanwhile, movement in the form of teleportation and room-scale controls are your option to traverse the world.
Resident Evil 4 VR releases exclusively on the Oculus Quest 2 on October 21. It’s as good an excuse as any to revisit an iconic, horrific world. Will you jump in?
