THQ Nordic is celebrating its 10th Anniversary by putting on a showcase of upcoming games on September 18th at 5am AEST for us Aussies. It will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam and promises to feature “six new game announcements that will take you on a journey through time and space”.
They released a trailer to help celebrate. Check it out.
The showcase will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, executive producer and host of The Game Awards, and we’ve been informed that we will “witness the return of legendary franchises, including some for which fans have been waiting decades to get their hands on a new instalment, and you can also expect to see sequels to beloved games.”
We will also get new information and footage for Open-World-Sci-Fi-Fantasy RPG ELEX II, and upcoming CRPG Expeditions: Rome will join the show to demo the latest and greatest gameplay. If you’re really keen, you can tune in a few minutes earlier to get a glimpse of what HandyGames have been working on lately in the pre-show, possibly something new in the VR space.
THQ Nordic has certainly released some great titles over the years, including Biomutant, Darksiders: Genesis, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-reckoning, Desperados III and Destroy All Humans!, just to name a few. We’re looking forward to seeing what this showcase will bring and celebrating the 10th Anniversary of a studio that has come up with and resurrected some of our favourite franchises.
