Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II reveals gameplay at The Game Awards

Posted on December 11, 2021

It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard any news about the upcoming Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Since its announcement at the 2019 Game Awards, developer Ninja Theory hasn’t provided many updates… until now. take a look at this new chilling trailer, showing Senua and some allies in a desperate fight against a giant:

The many voices representing Sebua’s psychosis make a return of course, needling her with doubt and fear as they prepare to fight the giant. Then when the action starts, it’s hard to know when the cutscene ends and gameplay begins. If this is indeed a gameplay trailer like the trailer suggests, it demonstrates an impressively seamless shift between cutscene and gameplay. The trailer is sadly a little short, so it doesn’t reveal too much about what we can expect Hellblade II to bring to the table when it is finally released.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is coming to Xbox Series S|X and PC, though unfortunately we still don’t have any release window yet. We’ll be keenly awaiting more news (hopefully soon!)
