After being teased in 2021, the developers of the remade classic Dead Space have been uploading developer logs on YouTube, sharing their processes and inspirations with the world. They have so far been well received by keen fans, who are patiently awaiting news of when they might get their hands on this remade masterpiece. Well, wait no longer!
During their most recent developer live stream, “The Sound of Fear Reimagined“, developers said “We want to make sure that we are in a place where the game we’re going to deliver is going to be building upon the expectations of fans. So right now, we’ll say early next year. We have a date in mind and we want to make sure that everything converges for this.”
The official Dead Space Twitter then revealed the exciting news that the remade Dead Space is gunning for a release window of early 2023. This is their second attempt at a release window, having originally stated that the game would be aiming for late 2022. It sounds like they don’t want to set a firm date in case of further delays.

The original Dead Space was released in 2008 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC to critical acclaim. It has remained in the hearts and minds of gamers ever since, so developer Motive Studios have some very large shoes to fill. The remake will be available for Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
